Our Lesson Program

Our program warmly welcomes riders of all levels, from true beginners to advanced competitors. All horses in our program are family-owned schoolmasters, allowing riders to learn and compete without the need to own or lease a horse. Astilbe Equestrian proudly offers lessons, camps, and shows in a supportive, professional, and fun environment where riders—and horses—can truly thrive. Contact us today for details!

We offer: One-time Introductory Lessons, Private Lessons, Semi-Private Lessons and Group Lessons. These various training options provide flexibility to your individual training needs.

Introductory Lesson

This “one time session” is a great way to get an introduction to the sport of equestrian.
30-45 minutes in length
One-time lesson for new clients

1/2 Hour Private Lessons

Current lesson students requesting flat-only or skill-focused sessions
Young riders building confidence and foundational skills
Riders preparing to transition into full private lessons

1 Hour Private Lessons

Private lessons provide individualized instruction tailored to each rider’s goals, experience, and progression.

1 Hour Group Lessons

(Groups of 2–3 riders • Placement by instructor)
Group lessons are designed for riders with compatible skill levels and focus on consistency, rideability, and shared learning in a structured environment.

Meet Our Horses

Indy

Lesson Horse

10 year-old Quarterhorse. Indy is an experienced Hunter with an extensive show record. At his previous home in Indiana, he was used for IEA and by the Purdue Equestrian Team.

Kameo HF aka “Mango”

Lesson Horse

10 year-old KWPN. She is trained in dressage and eventing, and is beginning her career as a Hunter

Pecos Bill

Farm Time Keeper

Pecos Bill the Mini Donkey is a rescue donkey who began his life in Indiana - the Sauce's adopted him and he is now the most vocal member of the family.
